The wrong name. A certificate is issued against one identity and cannot be edited afterwards. A company bidding with a certificate in a director's personal name, or a proprietor holding one issued in a firm's name, does not get a warning — it fails at portal registration, and the only fix is to buy the right one. That is the expensive mistake, and it is entirely avoidable by deciding before purchase.

Missing encryption. E-procurement portals separate signing from encryption. The signing certificate proves the bid is yours; the encryption certificate locks the financial bid so nobody can open it early. People buy the first, prepare the whole bid, and discover at the last step that the second does not exist. There is rarely time to fix it.

Neither mistake is about being careless. They happen because nothing asks the question until it is too late to matter. So this asks it first.
